As a prisoner

In a second you'll be home
you'll have to shape up 'cause dinner was late last night.
In a moment you'll surrender your hungers to him.
And maybe some other time you'll feel safe
with the man you thought you loved
But as for now the feelings real
and you've got the scars to proof it

So how can you?
How can you protect the one who hurts you?
When he hurts you, you feel alive.
How can you?
Why do you stay in as a prisoner?
You say that things will work out right.

You hear footsteps then a slamming door.
You find the sound brings your essense crashing down.
Your heart is as heavy as your soul on the floor.
